They don?t call her the ?Skinnygirl? for nothing, and Bethenny Frankel stopped by the ?Ellen DeGeneres Show? to share some healthy Super Bowl food recipes.
For starters, the ?Real Housewives of New York City? star advised to have a smart snack before the Super Bowl to avoid overeating during the game.
Some of her snacks include edamame, a handful of nuts, whole grain pita with hummus, or an English muffin with a few slices of turkey and Dijon.
She even suggested to ?taste everything, eat nothing.?
Below is a recipe for one of her signature dishes:
Healthy Tacos
Serves 4
1 lb lean ground turkey
2 teaspoons chili powder
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
4 whole wheat tortillas
Toppings
1/4 heart romaine lettuce
1/2 cup shredded reduced fat cheddar cheese
1/2 cup shredded reduced fat monterey jack cheese
Skinnygirl sour cream (1 cup nonfat Greek yogurt mixed with 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice)
*Spray a nonstick skillet with cooking spray and put over medium heat. Crumble the ground turkey into the pan. Add the next nine ingredients and cook, stirring and breaking up the meat with a wooden spatula until the meat is browned. Set aside.
*Wrap the tortillas in a towel and heat in the microwave for 15 to 30 seconds. To serve, put the meat, tortillas, and toppings on serving plates. Everyone can make their own taco.
