'My castmates didn't think I was going to get past the first round,' Sitch tells MTV News.

Families bicker, make up, then bicker some more. The clan from "Jersey Shore" is no different.
The cast has taken pleasure the past few weeks in playfully dissing Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, who's been jumping and jiving on "Dancing With the Stars." "Mike has legs, so does a chair — it doesn't mean the chair can dance, right?" Ronnie joked to MTV News.
Yet for all their smack talk, they all support the Situation at the end of the day. But Sitch just wishes they'd ramp up the encouragement and tamp down on the insults.
"I'm glad that they are supporting me, because I would do the same," he told us, adding, "I'm a little disappointed in their response. But at the same time, I'm a positive person, and that would never get me down. At the end of the day, I have to practice, practice, practice, and I have to get down my dance enough to move on to the next round."
Whether Mike will, in fact, move on to the next round after a rather awkward take on the Argentine tango Monday remains to be seen. Yet he's proud of how far he's come and is skeptical that his "Shore" roomies could do any better.
"At one particular point, I remember my castmates didn't think I was going to get past the first round," he said. "Now it's already the fourth round, and I've already proved wrong the people that didn't support me. If they're not supporting me and saying the dances aren't the best, that's obviously a little disappointing, but I'm going out there and trying. The fans are seeing that.
"I would love to see them go out there and even attempt — even attempt — to put on a dancing shoe," he continued.
